Timaeus Tees

I was recently asked to photograph t-shirts for new clothing brand Timaeus. Timaeus, inspired by Plato's work of the same name, offer four designs of ring-spun cotton tees, and wanted photographs of them with a simple plain white background.

The challenge I faced was that I had no access to proper studio lighting and backgrounds. Normally I would have used three flashes with softboxes and a roll of white studio paper, but instead all I had available was one wirelessly triggered Nikon SB-600 speedlight, an umbrella and a cotton sheet. I used these and some post-production work to create the results below. I decided to leave the shadows in, as without them the image simply looked far too flat.
