What's Hot in June

New BBC Good Food Site

I have always been a fan of the BBC Good Food website, and was pleased to see that it has recently had something of a revamp. The same principles still apply - a staggering plethora of recipes easily searchable through the extensive list of categories and sub categories (Cuisines, Occasions, Events, Healthy, Family, Baking...) - but it now, well, looks rather modern. And, more importantly, the layout of the site and recipes makes it all the more user friendly.

Free Copy of the BJP

The British Journal of Photography is a great mag. Aimed at the more academic end of the market, its beautifully laid out, heavy-quality pages are crammed full of info on the latest goings-on in the world of photography. Until the 30th of June, they are offering a free copy of the mag to all who enter the promocode 'FREE2013' when they visit this page. Their website is worth a look too.

Trials rider Danny MacAskill's latest video, Imaginate, has no doubt already 'gone viral' by now (to use modern interweb speak), but if you're one of the few who hasn't seen it yet, then it's well worth a peek. Cleverly filmed, and very unusual for a bike film, this will appeal to fans of Toy Story, too:

More Than Honey

The recent demise of bees has caused much consternation, and with good reason. Einstein predicted that "if bees were to disappear from the globe, mankind would only have four years left to live." With this in mind, Markus Imhoof has created a documentary, More Than Honey, examining the worrying implications this has for everyone, from farmers to the whole of mankind. Should be good.
