Nissan 350z Photo Shoot

Car Photography by Jason Wain

A friend of mine recently purchased a 2005 Nissan 350z. The 3.5-litre v6 engine kicks out 300 naturally aspirated break horse power. It sounds like a beast, looks like a beast and goes like a caffeinated, sugar-fuelled beast. But it was that burnt orange paint job that instantly screamed 'sunset!' to me, so I immediately set about arranging a shoot.

I knew the Ashdown Forest would make a great location, so we headed over one Tuesday evening. There was only time to get one decent shot before the sun disappeared behind the hills and I only had one strobe working, but we managed to work around it.

The final image is a composite of four images - one exposure for the sunset, then another three for the flash gun to light different parts of the car.
